Instead of waiting, buy a book!

Yesterday I was waiting for my mobile order coffee at Philz. My regular visit to the store mostly takes 20-40 seconds. My coffee sits there and waits for me. But yesterday, it took more than supposed to be, and I had almost 20 minutes to kill the time moment. What I did it?

I started to look around the people at the coffee shop who was waiting and try to analyze what’s going on with them( btw this is kind of my hobby -people watching and making a guess who they are and what they do for a living etc.) Long story short, I saw one guy who was reading a book, and he was almost half of the book. Without a blink, I purchased the book’s Kindle version and started to read it.

I never heard the name of the book but something interesting to me. It’s pretty much how the banking industry, consumer credits, the stock market evolved from the 1900s to the latest days. After I had my coffee, I went to my guy’s table and said, “ Thank you for reading this book, really enjoyed so far what I had read.” He got happy and said he got a recommendation from his friend to read this book.

As I always say, the books are cheap and used one even cheaper. The next time, instead of waiting in line and doing nothing buy a book and start to read it 🙂
