NYC vs SF

Everyone almost I met during my NYC trip either used to live in SF Bay Area or somehow they are thinking to try it at some point in their life. That’s why whatever we talked about anything; we ended up comparison NYC vs SF.

All I know is they are both great places. At least none of them are dying spots or nothing interesting going on. They are individually beautiful as it is. At least for me, you are both winning no matter where do you live out of these two cities.

Note: I am back in SF now! I hope I can travel to NYC more often.

Delegation

Can you delegate your work?

What’s your work?

Your work should be the work that can be only done by you. If anyone can do better than you are, you should delegate it!

Eventually, any work can be doable by someone else. Except you can’t delegate your thinking process.

City walk & inspiration

What I figured out today: I missed so much walking in real cities. New York, Barcelona, Tokyo, London, and other big 7/24 cities. They have full of inspiration. Every corner, every turn is full of surprises not only for visitors but also for residents. These cities are antifragile; whatever happens to them, they never die. They come back from their ashes and aim to live forever. Isn’t it great?

NYC

This is my first post; I’m writing from NYC in this newsletter/blog. It’s been almost three years since I was here. I missed here so much!

I think everyone who has a chance should spend at least a week in here. My favorite time is fall. This city is vibrant & full of energy. You can’t find that many colors in any palette.

Frozen vs Progress

Many immigrant families back in the 1970s-80s who emigrated from the middle east to Europe or the USA froze some of their cultural values. Since then, they have been consuming the same frozen food without questioning “- Are we doing good or should be progressive?

In the meantime, their friends, cousins, or even their family members are more adoptive of what’s going on in the world. I have seen and met so many Turkish people who live in Turkey, and they are more European or American than their relatives who live in those foreign countries.

Gambling

I went to Vegas many times but never into gambling. I just don’t feel anything at the gambling table. Don’t get me excited. Because I play the biggest gamble ever is starting my own company.

Path vs Destination

“If the path is beautiful, let us not ask where it leads.” Anatole France. This is insanely B in the meantime hard to digest it. I need to think about this a lot. So far what I understand from it, focus on the moment. Don’t rush to what’s next you will do or accomplish. Path is the way to go
