No, I don’t snore!

Yeah nobody accepts that they are snoring. You need to either record or not happen. Snoring if it is not a common thing, that is most likely happen some sorts of related events such as: being so tired, changing the bed, drinking too much, etc. If someone is telling us we are snoring, instead of ignoring; we should accept and learn why and how that happens.

We can use the same exercise for everything. If our close friends or family are telling something we don’t see or hear, instead of shutting them up, maybe push ourselves to listen to them patiently. We can’t see and figure out everything ourselves.

Contribute vs Provide

Many immigrants who left their home countries to other places had one goal: “Provide”. They have family back home so they need to provide them a good life which was not available while they were there. They struggled and paid huge emotional debt for one thing: “My family must have better than I have” On the other hand, the last thing to do “contribute” to a society where they migrated. Why?

Because they think this situation is temporary. Within 5 years or a maximum of 10 years, they’ll go back with enough assets till the rest of their life.

Even if their all family live in the same roof with a comfortable life, still they are waiting one day to go back. That’s why their mind is more focus provide then contribute. Most of them don’t even speak of the country’s language properly.

If you don’t contribute to your society, you can’t be part of it. If you don’t be part of it, you are invisible to them.

Grammer mistakes & Writing Poem

I have been writing my daily post last couple of days via my phone. Grammarly is working “OK” on the phone when I compare the desktop. I got a couple of email responses about the last couple of days about grammar or typo issues. That’s why I want to write this.

Honestly, I’m writing in here the last 200+days every day with every condition ( Couple weeks ago, I was camping with my buddies, I drove 5 miles down to have internet access from our camping ground to write the post

Some posts are long some of them very short. Some of them very proud of the wrote it down some of them alright. Still makes me keep active. Helping my mind to analyze anything and everything around me as a “good writing topic”

Special Note

By the way, I’m going to start a Turkish poem newsletter ( don’t worry this won’t be daily). I write a poem from time to time. Sometimes I wrote 5 days in a row sometimes no poem in 6 months. Those are very personal to me since 2006. I thought maybe I should share those with public eyes. If you are interested to join that newsletter reply to this post. ( I still didn’t find what I should name that newsletter::) any suggestions are more than welcome)

In the middle of day

I went golfing today in the middle of the day. That was totally unexpected. If someone asked me what do u want to do today afternoon, golfing most likely to be the last one. I honestly love Golf Courses. They are beautifully planned and most of them the best location in the areas.

Strong background

Building a strong background is essential to cope with a lot of daily issues. More you know, and experience about any kind of challenges, meeting, and learning about others are going to reshape your mental models. Key is never underestimating what you will learn from anybody. At least you will discover you won’t learn anything from that person. That is why having a strong background is like building a house brick by brick. It takes time, but when it is over. You will know every detail about your house.

Gap Year

We all know what does it mean “Gap Year”. Thanks to 2020. Literally we all postpone everything to next year. Let’s see with this forced Gap Year is going to bring us? I’m very optimistic.

Generation tax

Generation tax: The generation before you, didn’t pay taxes and you have to do it. That’s what I called pretty much if you are doing everything as a first-generation. Such as a being a first college graduate in your nuclear family. Or, someone who has experimenting & experiencing many things as first-timer. It brings so many cons and pros.

It is sometimes too tiring to catch up with your peers while you are paying your generation taxes.

Disappering Passion

Doing work with passion is the most amazing thing that happens to you. However, passion is not itself enough to keep you in the game. You need to see results. Pretty much seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

Lots of external effects (raising capital or people think that you are doing amazing or working cool company etc ) might keep you push one more day. Still, it is not sustainable. Everything needs to come from YOU. (It doesn’t have to be YOU all do work. Your structure, your organization, your team, your models, etc) As long as you are onboarding new client, new transaction, new deal. You are good. Your passion is fueled by your efforts. It won’t disappear

Thick skin

Whatever is happening to us, it is happening for either reason or not. But that definitely helps us to be more thick skin. Whatever makes you sad back in time, no more hurting you. That’s kinda growing tree. As long as you are surviving, you are golden. One wave to another, life is taking us different coast to coast. I honestly can’t imagine what tomorrow is going to bring us, but I know one thing we our skin will be thicker

One metric

One metric or KPI should be the focus. And, that number should be growing bigger than anything else. It is sooooooo hard to pick that “one metric” when you pick that one just re-design all your onboarding, outreach, marketing, and sales organization for that focus.
