Working at FANG as an employee is a new definition of a blue-collar worker. But the difference is you are a blue-collar-techno-laborer.
Your personality and uniqueness don’t really matter. Just do the work! Ship it and move on!
Be ready for your friends.
Without asking for a return, just do your work.
Be ready!
Today for them.
Tomorrow for you?
YEAP! You are still waiting for a return. Nothing for YOU!
Just be ready for them.
I was in Mexico City last week. Super surprised how much I didn’t know anything about “Mexico.” Actually, how much I knew wrong about Mexico.
Honestly, Mexico is a great place for going to resorts, amazing beaches, and food but also super open to starting a new business. It probably has its own pros and cons but after living a pretty long time in the USA- you kind of get the huge confidence to do whatever you want to do.
Definitely want to visit more often. And already exploring biz opportunities. Check out my Linkedin post about my opinion on Startup Scene there & pics.
When I was in college, I drank so much Turkish Tea at home with my mom. Whenever we were bored- we drank tea. Whenever we were happy-we drank tea.
I like to drink Turkish Tea with someone who likes them as much as I do. Not the one who drinks only one cup, to be polite:) But, the last couple of days, I drink by myself. Making Turkish tea is a ritual. It takes a minimum of 20 minutes (the way I do). It is some sort of meditation for me. I like it.
If you are not bored too much, you are doing wrong. You should be bored. Then find interesting ideas or people. Some of them are not interesting after a while, then repeat the initial process again and again.
Be bored, my friend. Boredom is great.

I turned 35 today. I’m blessed and very happy to have 2 weeks vacation with family. That’s why I took 2-3 weeks off writing daily. I needed time off to observe life & keep it internally.
New age, new time, same growth mindset.
I’ve been in Athens since last Friday. So I can say people are living their life.
They are not working just to make money. They are working to full their life. Everything is quite cheap here compared to any major city in the USA. The main reason is people are making much less than we do. But, they seem pretty happy and relaxed. I was here 5 years ago; people were depressed and had no hope too much about their economy. Seems like they are very optimistic these days.
Extra observation: Even touristic places are quite reasonable for tourists to spend money without breaking the bank. The main reason is they want visitors to keep coming to visit Athens. Of course, Santorini and Mykonos are way expensive than Athens but still it’s alright for someone who lives in SF Bay Area:)
What is your worst scenario?
Multiple 3X whatever you come up with.
Are you well prepared for that scenario?
Or are you praying nothing should happen?
I believe you can do more than praying.
