Can’t sleep

When your brain is working constantly you can’t really sleep. You might stay on the bed but you don’t really fall asleep.

That’s why I got up. I did little bit of research and read some interesting posts. I took some notes…

Now, I’m writing this mostly likely I won’t sleep today. That’s okay.

I love what I do for a living and this is part of work.

This is Your Face

This is my face…

This is your face…

This could be anybody’s face.

Your face is a mirror of your soul. It is so hard to fake it. You might see some people they act “very nice” people, but when there is nobody around them you can see their real faces.

Less Ego. More Soul.

There is always HOPE

I had a great call on yesterday. I caught up with our clients and friends. Some of them are having a hard time during these unpredictable times. When we dig a little bit about how we can help each other, we figured out every pain, loss, and stress are temporary. And, we will get through this together.

There is always HOPE.

All you need a small spark. One word, one smile maybe even text message. Then you can use your good energy as a fuel to make that small spark turn to be unstoppable FIRE!

My pain is bigger than yours

What you are feeling is very special to you. We can’t fully understand what you are dealing with. But, don’t say “Why me”?

Why am I losing my job? My friends are still having their own

Why my boyfriend is not ready to get married? My all cousins got married and bought a house.

Ok, what does it mean to you?

Do you want them as unhappy as you are now? Or, what?

Don’t compare or compete with your pains with others. Yours is yours, Theirs are theirs.

You don’t know what they are struggling with. People are only sharing their happy moments as you do.

I know your pain is killing you. I try to understand you but can’t solve it for you. Start to Embrace it. Cry, Scream, or Shout out. Let it GO!

But don’t Compare It!

Talk to Me

Subscribe now

I am trying to catch up with my entrepreneur connections these days. Those are the ones who are dealing with layoffs, investments, clients, etc. I try my best to listen and learn from them. A couple of days ago, I reached out to one of my untouched (it means we never talked or briefly chatted on Linkedin) connection on Linkedin. I sent a message and asked how she is doing and how’s business etc.

Later on, we scheduled a zoom call, I asked her “How can I help you?”. She was shocked at the beginning. She even said, “Aykut, I don’t have an app, Why are you chatting me:)?” While she was explaining to me her situation she already found most of the answers.

Most of the time, we need somebody just for a talk. It doesn’t matter who is that person. All we need a voice without judge or try to sell us their ideas or products.

Random people work. In some cases, you might even end up finding some mutual benefits from those talks.

Note

If you are a founder and want to chat, please reach out to me on my Linkedin

Seeding

We are seeding our future. Nothing is only for Today. Pretty much is we are all farmers. If you plant an orange tree, you will get oranges. You can not expect from orange seed to give you an apple.

Whatever you seeding, you will collect those. So, there is no need to feel bad or blaming others. You are responsible for all. You should know what are you planting.

Think about before starting seeding:

-What do you want to collect on harvest day?

-Is this tempo will get you there? Or, Do you need to ramp up production?

OverThinking

I like doing instead of thinking. Don’t get me wrong. I am all about thinking. My problem is overthinking. You know sometimes you are thinking too much and feeling already tired? That’s what I’m talking about

I love what Senaca said about this “ We suffer more often in imagination than in reality”

Aren’t we all like that? We care so much what others thinking about what we are going to do. I always say to my team: “If we do some changes in our product, a maximum couple of hundreds of our clients will notice. If it is so annoying or not make sense, what will be the worst scenario? We will take it back to the old version of it. Instead of overthinking and not doing it.

As long as you are not putting your or other’s life on danger, just go for it. You and I don’t have that much time.

Running or Walking

I somehow don’t like running as much as I love walking.

Walking helps me to think, digest ideas, and breathe.

Running is a metaphoric feeling to me. More like a chasing, closing a deal, or aggressive behavior.

Maybe, my daily work life is full of goals, surviving, and hustling. Pretty much typical startup life. So, I think I got all adrenaline from what I do for a living. So, walking is a secret garden for me. My way of meditating…

FOMO

FOMO ( Fearing of Missing out).

These days, I am chatting with my entrepreneur friends. They all do an amazing job but they all feeling FOMO. Why?

Because they are thinking “ If we started something else, they might be way bigger than what we have currently”. Or, they say “they should start something on the side to catch up on what’s current trends”.

Those are all ok. Why? because we don’t know the future. Nobody knows it. No one forecast COVID-19 for 2020 Projections. So, FOMO is okay. You are not the only one feeling that way. Focus on your long term goals and plans. FOMO is mostly happening a short time or seasonal gains.

Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint. Just focus on what do you have and if you believe in, you will gain massive knowledge, connection, and outcome. Stick on it.

You are for the customer.

I always say “We are here not to build a product, we are here to solve our customer’s problem”.

Whatever you are building, working needs to solve someone’s problem. If it is not, why are you building anyway?

Keep asking yourself. “Am I solving real pain or an imaginary one?”

More you build a relationship with your prospect or existing client, they will more likely to be turned life long customer plus friend and advisor to you and your company.

So, be aware: You are here to serve them. Your job is to solve the problem. Not to create one.

Imagine, if you go to a restaurant, what do you expect from them? : “Good service and gesture, delicious food, and taking care of you”. Everything needs to be customer-centric. Food, design, the ambiance will come after customer focus.

So tech companies are not different than a restaurant. You are here to serve nothing less or more. Product, design, engineering and YOU are for Customers.
